Game downloads taken offline until Ubisoft fixes license exploit.
Hackers discovered a method to trick the download service into believing users had purchased a copy of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and allowing them to freely download it - despite the title remaining unannounced by Ubisoft.
Uplay users will not be able to download PC titles while the service remains offline, but all other functionality should remain unaffected.
In a statement provided to VideoGamer.com, Ubisoft said:

Over 30 minutes of 80s-infused Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon footage has leaked online, though Ubisoft is yet to officially confirm the existence of the title.
The videos show Blood Dragon's altered levelling system, which replaces skill trees with a linear path of upgrades as characters progress through the ranks. The leaked footage is set in a facility, but the end of the footage--and occasional shots of the game's map--suggest more open-world gameplay down the line.

Despite the massive tonal and aesthetic shift, many of the mechanics shown in the video will be familiar to players of , with Blood Dragon using the same takedown chaining, healing, and grenade throwing. The character--reported to be cyber-commando Rex Colt and voiced by 80s action movie star Michael Biehn--can breathe underwater, takes no falling damage, and occasionally flips the bird at fallen enemies.
The footage also shows that Blood Dragon's cutscenes are done with retro-style 2D art, there's a neon pink knife, and laser-breathing dragons are one of the game's enemies.

Ubisoft still to confirm the downloadable game's existence.
The footage is taken from the beginning of the game, showing off its 80s sci-fi action movie vibe.
As a standalone downloadable title things appear to have been simplified over the Far Cry 3 experience. Gone is the skill tree, with a basic levelling system dishing out new abilities as players progress. Starting abilities include chaining silent takedowns, underwater breathing and resistance to damage when taking a fall.
It's not clear how the game was obtained, but the leak comes several weeks ahead of the rumoured May 1 release date.
